An In Christ Creation

Updated: Jun 11, 2024

"He created us in Christ." I wrote this in my last post and want to unpack it a little. The He is a reference to Father God. I also ended that post with this verse..."And through his creative inspiration this Living Expression made all things, for nothing has existence apart from him!" -John 1:3 TPT

The words I wish to bring to your attention are..."for nothing has existence apart from him!" Here is a more traditional rendering of the verse. "All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." -John 1:3 ESV

Now, I don't pretend to know everything about this verse or the understanding of it but I think I understand the truth that it reveals. God created the world that is and all who dwell therein, in and through Christ!

Notice the next verse of this passage. "In him was life, and the life was the light of men."-John 1:4 ESV It is FROM his life (the life that is in him) that all people and things draw their life.

Here, in context, is our theme verse for our show on GAN, Finding Our Way, which sheds light on the concept that I am trying to communicate.

"And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each of us, for `In him we live and move and have our being;' as even some of your own poets have said, `For we are indeed his offspring.'"-Acts 17:26-28 ESV

Paul in these words is speaking to those who worship idols and he is quoting their own poets!! Can you believe what he is saying?! He is telling them that they are the offspring of God!! In him we LIVE and MOVE and HAVE OUR BEING!!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Come on over to FOW as we explore this life together! Follow this link to one of our shows where we discuss the Mystery That Was Always There https://watch.gantv.com/videos/497/the-mystery-that-was-always-there-ep20

I will end with a question. How is it that you, due to sin or anything else, can be separated from a God that created you in and through Himself??

FOW
